Katarina Russell was born March 30^th, 1999 in Baltimore, Maryland. She has been drawing for most of her life. However, it was observational studies in high school art class where she discovered a love for getting lost in detail. Her current work employs a photorealistic-surrealist style. Katarina graduated Seton Hill University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. She has spent the last several years honing her technical skills. This growth has made her more comfortable exploring deeper subject matters like social-political and environmental issues. Her current set of works focus on themes of alienation, self-conflict, and passiveness in relation to global issues like climate change.
